USVP announces the commissioning of a High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) system that allows applying wear-resistant coatings on balls and seats of ball valves. The main advantages of HVOF overlays is their use for most applications involving metal seated ball valves.
Typical materials for the HVOF spray are tungsten carbide and chromium carbide coatings. Unique properties of this technology allows reaching exceptional surface hardness above 1100 HV.
The system comprises of a thermal spraying booth and a robotized blasting room. To guarantee high quality of products, USVP also performs thorough examination in the internal laboratory for coating quality control.
